If you forgot the admin panel username and/or password of your router or modem, you can easily find it by following the steps below.
Using the default username and password is the simplest solution. If you have not changed the password of your device before, you can use this method. You can find your user name and password on the sticker in the box of your device or in the user manual.
If your device does not have a label on it or on its box, you can browse our list of default usernames and passwords.
Perform a Factory Reset
If you have changed your password before, you will receive an error message when you try to log in with the default username and password. In such a case, the only thing you can do other than remember the password is to reset the device. Resetting will reset the entire configuration of your router or modem to factory settings. After that you can log in with the default username and password.
- To reset your device, you must use an object such as a needle or toothpick.
- Press and hold the “Reset” button on the back or side of the device for 3-5 seconds with a needle. This time may vary from device to device. Therefore, you can look at the lights to see if the device has been reset. Release the reset button when the lights start flashing.
- After waiting for about 30 seconds, your device will be completely reset.
- You can now log in with the default login.
